Located at 19 Rue Lmelwia, within the culturally and historically protected medina of Tangier, this monobrand configuration has been conceived as a dedicated site for the presentation and sustained engagement with the work of Carol Christian Poell. Comprising eight rooms within a private residential structure, the space deliberately operates outside conventional systems of exhibition, functioning only by invitation and appointment.

In doing so, it proposes an immersive, durational encounter with Poell’s practice, one that privileges proximity, contemplation, and a heightened attentiveness to the particularities of material, form, and temporality. The project acknowledges its specific location not as a passive setting but as an active interlocutor, whose layered historical and cultural presence informs both the context and reception of the work it hosts. It aspires to establish a site where the integrity of Poell’s practice can be experienced on its own terms, through a mode of engagement that resists immediacy and insists upon presence.
